The Mégane Renaultsport or Mégane RS is a series of hot hatch Hot hatch was originally an informal automotive industry term, shortened from hot hatchback, initially coined by the European motoring press, for a high-performance derivative of a car body style consisting of a three- or five-door hatchback automobile. However, 'hot hatch' is now commonly and widely accepted as a mainstream, if still informal models based on Renault Mégane The Renault Mégane is a small family car produced by the French automaker Renault since 1995. It is offered in 3- and 5-door hatchback, saloon, coupé, convertible and station wagon bodystyles. Mégane II Renaultsport
It is based on the Renault Mégane II The Renault Mégane is a small family car produced by the French automaker Renault since 1995. It is offered in 3- and 5-door hatchback, saloon, coupé, convertible and station wagon bodystyles. The Renault Scénic is the first modern compact MPV to be built in Europe[citation needed], and is based on the Mégane floorpan small family car A compact car , or small family car (Europe), is a classification of cars which are larger than a supermini but smaller than or equal to a mid-size car. The term often leads into confusion, however, since international compact cars are somewhat larger than their North American equivalents, mostly because no supermini/subcompact size is.
The Mégane RS is available in three-door and five-door hatchback A Hatchback is a broad term for a car body style incorporating a shared passenger and cargo volume, with rearmost accessibility via a rear third or fifth door, typically a top-hinged liftgate — and features such as fold-down rear seats to enable flexibility within the shared passenger/cargo volume. As a two-box design, the body style typically versions, both with the same engine and it is built in Renault's Dieppe factory, which is where most of their special and race cars are made (like the Clio V6, 5 Turbo, Spyder and Alpine A610 / A110). The Mégane Renault Sport 225 uses innovative double-axis strut suspension with independent steering axis at the front, with electric power steering that reduces its influence as speeds increase.
Engine and performance
It uses a turbocharged A turbocharger, or turbo, is a gas compressor that is used for forced-induction of an internal combustion engine. A form of supercharger, the turbocharger increases the density of air entering the engine to create more power. A turbocharger has the compressor powered by a turbine, driven by the engine's own exhaust gases, rather than direct 2.0-litre petrol engine A petrol engine is an internal combustion engine with spark-ignition, designed to run on petrol (gasoline) and similar volatile fuels that produces 225 PS (165 kW; 222 bhp), allowing the car to achieve 0-100 km/h in 6.5 s (0-60 mph in 6.3 s), with a top speed of about 240 km/h (149 mph). Ninety percent of the engine's torque is available from 2000 rpm until redline. A super-light twin-scroll turbo minimizes turbo lag, and when throttle is applied at anything over 2000 rpm there is almost no discernible lag. The transmission is a six-speed manual. Renault's claimed combined economy is 8.8 L/100 km (32 mpg-imp; 27 mpg-US), and real-world highway driving will see approximately 7.0 L/100 km (40 mpg-imp; 34 mpg-US), which is unusually efficient for a car this powerful.
In a 2004 road test by Mexican In Pre-Columbian Mesoamerica many cultures matured into advanced civilizations such as the Olmec, the Toltec, the Teotihuacan, the Zapotec, the Maya and the Aztec before the first contact with Europeans. In 1521, Spain conquered and colonized the territory, which was administered as the viceroyalty of New Spain which would eventually become Mexico car magazine Automóvil Panamericano Automóvil Panamericano or simply Automóvil is a Mexican automotive enthusiast magazine founded in March 15, 1995. Owned by Motorpress-Televisa and partner of the German magazine "Auto Motor Und Sport", it is the most-popular auto magazine in Mexico. Also a specialized publication dedicated to the car enthusiast and the respective, the car was proven to reach 247 PS (182 kW; 244 bhp) from its powerplant.
Equipment
Because of its apparent willingness to go ever faster, the Mégane Renault Sport has a speed-limiter, which prevents the car from passing a user-determined speed. It can be disabled or recalled with a button-press, and is set in the same way as the cruise control.
The Mégane RS is equipped with leather/cloth seats, seat belts with red stitching, 17-inch alloy wheels, eight airbags An airbag is a vehicle safety device.
